True Control Center Installation Guide
Installing The Control Center Client
Direct link to topic in this publication:
1. Execute Cireson Ticker App Client x86.msi on the client machine.
2. Accept the EULA.
3. Enter the endpoint address for your Cireson Control Center instance.
4. The installer will complete and an icon will be placed in the Start Menu folder under ‘Cireson’. The client will also auto-start itself when a user logs on.
1. An application deployment or software package can be used to deploy the announcement client. To set the endpoint address, a ‘CC_URL=http://ControlCenter/’ argument can be added to the end of the command line. An example would be:
Msiexec.exe /I “Cireson Control Center Client x86.msi” /qn CC_URL= http://ControlCenter/
Certain options can be configured for the client in the registry of the target computer. The client registry key is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Cireson\Apps\ControlCenterClient (32-bit OS is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE \Cireson\Apps\ControlCenterClient ).
You can configure how often the client checks the endpoint for new announcements. Add a new REG_SZ with a title ‘NotifierIntervalSeconds’ and specify the number of seconds to wait between checks. The client will need to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
The endpoint address set during install can be changed afterwards. The value is stored in ‘PlatformEndpointAddress’ and the client will need to be restarted for the changes to take effect.
