Appendix B - Converting from the Trial to the Licensed Version of the Cireson Control Center

This Appendix details the process to follow in order to convert a 30-day trial version of the Cireson Control Center to the Licensed version.

There are two ways to convert a 30-day trial version of the Control Center to the Licensed version, depending on how much time of the trial remains:

aConverting to the Licensed version of the Control Center during the 30-day trial 

During the 30-day trial, the number of days remaining for the trial is displayed in the Application Header area. You can upgrade to the Licensed version of the Control Center anytime during the 30 days using the process below.

To convert a 30-day trial version of the Control Center to the Licensed version during the 30-day trial:

  1. On a machine that Internet connectivity, start a browser and connect to the Control Center (e.g., http://controlcenter-demo.creson.com).
  2. In the Application Header area, click UPGRADE 
This will open the Upgrade Request form in a new tab of your browser. Complete this form to request your own, unique License Key for the Licensed Version of the Control Center.
  1. Once you have received your own License Key, start a browser and connect to the Control Center (e.g., http://controlcenter-demo.creson.com).
  2. Click the Settings Menu () in the Application Header area and select General Settings
  3. On the General Settings page, click the License tab.
  4. Underneath the License section, enter your unique, License Key for the Licensed Version of the Control Center in the License Key field.
  5. Click Validate
If the entered License Key is valid, the fields under the Information section will be updated based on the license key entered.

If the entered License Key is invalid, a dialog box will be displayed temporarily advising you of the problem with the License Key. Check that you entered your License Key correctly.

aConverting to the Licensed version of the Control Center after the 30-day trial has expired

After your 30-day trial of the Control Center has expired, the next time you load the Dashboard you will see the License Expiration Warning dialog box stating:

"Your license key is now expired.

We're sorry to see you go. To re-enable your Control Center contact us here"

What happens next depends on what you click:

aClicking "here"

Clicking the word here on the License Expiration Warning dialog box, will open the License Key Request form in a new tab of your browserComplete this form in order to request your own, unique License Key for the Licensed Version of the Control Center from Cireson.

Once you have received your key:

  1. Load the Control Center and click the word OK in the the License Expiration Warning dialog.
  2. Follow the process in the "Clicking 'OK'" topic to enter your new License Key.


aClicking "OK" 

Clicking the word OK on the License Expiration Warning dialog box, will load the License Key page of the Control Center Wizard at which point you should:

  1. In the License Key field enter your own, unique License Key for the Licensed Version of the Control Center.
  2. Click Validate
If the entered License Key is valid, the Portal Information dialog box will be displayed temporarily displaying the expiry date for your new License Key.

If the entered License Key is invalid, a dialog box will be displayed temporarily advising you of the problem with the License Key. Check that you entered your License Key correctly.

  1. Click Next
  2. On the Portal Database screen, click Next (unless you want to make any changes).
  3. On the Configuration Manager screen, click Next (unless you want to make any changes).
  4. On the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit screen (which is only displayed if you originally either selected the Install All Components option, or selected the Select Components to Install option and checked the MDT Integration checkbox), click Next (unless you want to make any changes).
  5. On the Administrators Group screen, click Next (unless you want to make any changes).
  6. On the Wizard Complete screen, click Finish.

After a short delay, the Control Center Dashboard will be displayed.
